Through our London-based English language programme we want to empower Colombia’s future generations. Our fellows become ambassadors in their schools and communities.
We work to help alleviate some of the educational inequalities faced and inspire students to dream big!
Breaking Barriers
The Bright Kites Foundation was founded in 2018 by a group of English-teaching volunteers to inspire and encourage students from public schools in some of the toughest neighbourhoods in the country. The foundation offers an international cultural and language programme in London for selected students with our partner schools.
making memories
Our fellows are afforded the opportunity to travel to London for a once in a lifetime experience. They attend English classes at Bayswater College for a month alongside students from around the world, participate in a range of cultural excursions, and put their language skills to the test in a native speaker context.
Colombia
Colombia is a country with rich geographic and cultural diversity. Since the start of the millennium there have been some positive advancements in education, alongside greater political and economic stability. However, there remains a limited opportunity for social mobility. We believe language learning can be a positive driving force for change.
